Verse 7 and 12 says that you will be despised for being good, and that All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Will Be Persecuted. No ifs, buts or maybes about it. Are hope beigins and ends with Christ. I know that we want to say that life is all about rainbows and sunshine, but the bible is the only place that the real truth can be found.
